today i made a million rings. a MILLION.

The trouble with trouble

One of the hardest parts about running your own biz, I've decided as of yesterday, is figuring out when to do what. Should I make labels first, then finish the orders? Finish up wholesale orders, take pictures, or and then go to the post office??? WHEN DO I EAT MY ENGLISH MUFFIN. Anyway, what ends up happening is that I sit on the couch staring at Gray's Anatomy, trying to figure out what would be the most efficient order of tasks, which is funny because that's not efficient at all!

Anyway, maybe if I list what I need to do today I'll stick to a schedule better.

1. Ben is making hard boiled eggs. Eat one.
2. Stay on couch, make shipping labels for all orders going out today (tip: it helps motivate you to finish all of your orders because the shipping labels are done!)
3. Make orders for today:

a. blue crystal necklace
b. honeycomb
c. bike w hearts
d. mini honeycomb
c. pack drusy ring (wait to hear size???)
e. camera

And after those are done, work on DC tie bars for Ginger Root, send a honeycomb ring to that store, finish those white drusy heart rings and email people, oooh that black pink heart ring (don't mess up the hearts!!!), finish that mini camera....ok!

I also started some darling little drusy pendants yesterday with pearls on top that I cannot wait to finish, so hopefully those will be up later! I finished photos for my Fab.com sale coming up, too- Julia was kind enough to sit on a porch and let me take pics! Here's a sneak peak:

Oh hellooooooo! First and foremost, I wanted to thank everyone who entered my contest and did such a great job spreading the word- I really really appreciate it! And will definitely be having a new one soon!

In other news, I haven't blogged in forever. And I'm terribly sorry. I'm sure everyone is devastated. Allow me to fill you in on recent events:

I just got back from a trip home to mass. with the hubby, which was great, except for a little stomach bug/food poisoning incident that sort of ruined one night and half a day. But still great! 

I've been having a few little wholesale orders here and there which is a real thrill, and I love doing. And have  a bunch of orders to catch up on now. AND am going to be doing Fab again shortly with some new items, so I need to finish all of those pieces to photograph.

OH and my wallet was stolen last week, but I finally have all of my new cards back and such. So I have to do a bunch of stuff to make sure my info everywhere is correct.

This is more of a to-do list than an interesting update on my life. Sorry!

What else??

I don't know! It's basically summer in DC now- winter and spring sort of skipped us. Which is great! More skirts and dresses to wear! Though I did just buy a heavy pair of BLACK madewell jeans, which I love. They are high waisted and sort of tight on my stomach so I always feel like I'm full, which means I don't eat so much. So that's sort of like a little diet secret. Anyway, they are WARM and aren't the best for hot summer days I don't think. But I do love them. and now it makes me only want to buy expensive fancy clothing. But all I really want still are Target dresses.

Ok. So now that everyone knows how crazy I really am, I'm going to get my ess ache (H?) eye tee together  and get the day started! Who's with me?!!!?!!!?

New pics for website?

Soooo gang, I'm trying to make my product photos look more profesh. So I am putting, or attempting to put, all of the items on a solid white background (slash photoshop my way there). Do they look good? OR weird and sterile?

New pillow packaging!

For those of you who are new to my life, I have a company called Stitchtagram with my big bro.

I decided to ramp up the packaging of them, so I went on a shopping spree at Paper Source and this was the result!

I really just wanted an excuse to buy that red string. AND I'M SO HAPPY I DID. 

Make shift light box

I've been meaning to take better pictures of jewelry lately, so I whipped together this light box. It worked. Kind of.

I basically duct taped a little filing box I bought from Target, unsnapped the front side, taped paper inside. eh?

It wasn't the best, but I took some pics of new and old things!
