Here's the scoop. Ben's mom's dog was bitten by another dog. Now she has one of those hilarious looking cones on its neck so it doesn't scratch it. Sad. But hilarious. It reminded me of a lamp I saw once, of a plastic dachshund like dog with a cone around it's neck. I THOUGHT I saw it at the ICA museum store. So I went to the website. No lamp, but I did find this awesome wooden iPhone case, made nearby in Wayland MA! Do I dare? I already got the horrendous looking black plastic tank-like Otter Box case when I got the phone originally. But this is so much nicer! And I'm betting it wouldn't pull my hair when I'm using it. Or have all of the contents of my purse come out whenever I take out my phone.
So. Worth $45.00?

Blog Neglect
So terribly sorry, readers. (Not completely sure who actually reads this anymore though.) Oooh, I've seen a few other bloggers do this! If you read my blog, please do write a comment about who you are/what you do/your favorite fruit/if you have a blog or a website or anything! I'd love to list you in my blogroll, and also like knowing who is out there!
Anyway. Lots of things have been happening.
It always seems that whenever I leave my shop for a couple of days, I get more sales than ever. Always! I could be sitting at home, twiddling my thumbs, thinking I'm in a slump, but the second I head over for a weekend in Boston, my inbox is flooded with message and I start to get stressed out about not being home to fill orders.
Not that I'm complaining! Just a funny way things work. I came to Boston this weekend with Ben, and while here, I went to the hippest of the hip hair salons in South Boston called Shag. Sigh. And guess what? I got BANGS. True blue bangs! I feel like a regular Rory Gilmore.
Now, for those who don't know, I have pretty wavy/thick/horrendously untamed hair, so the second I wash my newly straightened, shiny, primped locks, all will go to hell. I guess I can never wash my hair again.
That's all for now! Heading back home tonight, putting together orders, making some new drusy rings, you know, the use. (yoosh? youghe? how do you spell the abbreviated version of usual? I'll never know).
toodles!

Messy Mess.
The house is a mess. I think it's because we don't really have that much furniture, let alone shelves and hooks. Jackets and sweaters are hanging from the staircase railing, my purses are lying in piles all over the floor. Hooks immediately came to mind. These were some of my favorite finds!
Whale from Knob Creek Metal Arts, Owls from Mapleshade Kids , Butterflies from Sarah Lizzy Tish, Branches from Wrenwoods.
New druzy
My thoughtful uncle picked me up some nice drusy pieces from the Tuscon gem show. The latest creation, a denim blue ring! Those little silver beads were quite the ragamuffins. Every time I thought I had them all on good, one would pop off and go flying when I tried to polish it. Rest assured, they are all on there for good now!

I need this dress.
Good gravy, how wonderful is this dress? It makes me want to go on picnic SO badly. Handemade by SohoMade on Etsy. Thanks to Made By Hands for realizing I need to own it.
Studio- Before
I've recently acquired an old jewelry bench, which means my home studio can finally start to take form! So far all I have it in are my three Miffy post cards, and my banner. I'll add photos and things start to get more exciting!!

Sunday!
Today was another sunny, warmish day, that made me realize Spring will be here in no time at all. It was a pretty near perfect day, actually. For breakfast we went to a sugar shack in Deerfield and had the best blueberry pancakes of my life. Then, a brief trip into Target, (do I need a $15.00 bright blue metal bread box??? I think I do!! See picture below.)
After Target, we went for a drive, and for some inexplicable reason, I really wanted to drive around Hampshire College. Once we got there, I realized the Eric Carle museum was there. And it was open! Adorable museum, not that much to look at though. There is an exhibit on Golden Books. Remember Pokey Little Puppy? Too cute for words.
And THEN, in the gift shop (obviously), I found all sorts of Miffy postcards that I couldn't live without. So cute! I hung them in my studio, and will take a picture later. As of now, they are the only things in the room.
Sigh. There I am, already reminiscing about the day even though it was still happening.

Denim Vest Deal
I was at the Gap today, and, besides finding a crazy, chainy, sequiny, semi-ugly $40 necklace for .50 cents, I also got this denim vest for $2.97 from $72.00. After doing extensive google image searching for a picture of it, (why? i have no idea), I found this picture of Tori Spelling. I swear it's the same one.
On an eerier note, I bought a flannel shirt for $10.00 that's suspiciously similar to the one she's wearing. What does it mean??

Bland couch?
Ben and I were lucky enough to take an old couch from my parents. It's a sort of cream/tan/oatmeal. To jazz it up a tad I covered it with a great quilt and put my two favorite pillows on! More snapshots of new house to come...

Pebble Engagement Rings?
I just finished listing these zen little sterling silver pebble solitaire rings. I love the idea of a guy giving his gal one as an engagement ring. It's pretty much the absolute opposite of a diamond, but has a great minimalist and organic feel. Also pretty as stacklables!

Inspired to ravamp.
I caught the bug. The revamping bug. All I want to do is go to the salvation army, but old chairs and end tables, paint them mustard yellow and blue, and stencil honey comb patterns on them. Can I do that? Some inspirations via Design Sponge's Before and Afters:

Oh. Em. Gee.
I was just watching a repeat of the Westminster Dog Show, and I saw a wire haired, mini dachshund. I nearly fainted. Then I did a little google image searching, and found this little hero. Honestly though. His cuteness gives me a stomach ache.

Dramatic Shots.
When I saw colored bubbles, I almost did a back flip. I never even thought about them, but now that I know they exist, I must immerse myself in a cloud of them. It only took ten years of experimentation and discoveries. Thanks, Zubbles!!

How magical
Some things:
a) I just ate a piece of chocolate with pop rocks embedded in it. At first I was skeptical, but quickly realized it was a thing that dreams are made of.
b) How smart and fun is this coffee stencil? From this shop.
c) I listed some new things which I'll post shortly.
d) Also, hilarious use of sausages. Apparently I-Phone users in South Korea use them as stylus tools when it's cold and they have on gloves. Read all about it here.
