Treasure Map or Galaxy?

I just finished this ring, made with a flattened silver quarter from the 50's. Does it look to you more like a galaxy or a treasure map?

Midnight Disco Square Ring

Oooh I am way into frosted finishes lately! Which is why I finished this new "Midnight Disco" druzy with a satin finish! Let's see how many times I can say finish.

Anyway, I'd love your comments! Should it have a shiny finish? It's so hard to photograph druzy so that it shows just how sparkly the stone really is.

This post was written from the powdery slopes of Okemo Mountain. Or rather, in my friend's condo while they ski and we watch "Mom at 13" on Lifetime.

Swish, Swish, Gulp

That swishing is the sound of other people skiing. That gulping is the sound of me drinking hot cocoa in the ski lodge.

Ben and I are meeting our friends at Okemo Ski Resort in VT today for the night. And while they go for the skiing, Ben and I go for the french fries and hot chocolate in the lodge.

So I'll post sometime when I'm sitting in front of a roaring fire, grateful not to be skiing.

I don't know why I haven't written about my two friends who are currently in Israel doing their thang.

Fairy Chimneys

Ok. There's a place in Turkey called Cappadocia. In this place, are rock formations called Fairy Chimneys.

And I will be going to them in June!

And I will be staying in a CAVE HOTEL.

I know it's not for a while, but I cannot get the phrase Fairy Chimney out of my mind. And had to share it with you delovelies.

Our house, is a very very very fine house.

So depending on a few things, B and I may be house sitting an empty house for however long.

It used to be owned by an elderly lady, and nothing really had been changed since the 20's. (just kidding. maybe the 50's)

We're still fixing it up, but so far here are a few details that made me happy:

Look Book

After reading countless articles in Nylon Magazine that start with, "After finding their look book on our desk this morning, we fell in love with their jewelery!" I realized that I would have to make a look book and get it on their desk. On some morning.
