Coat Hanger

We are just in a DIY mood lately. It must be the fresh country air.

I posted earlier about cool wall hooks I've been seeing. So I decided to make my own!

I'll be posting the steps as I do them.

First, i printed out a honeycomb image I found online.
Then I cut out each hexagon using an Xacto knife.

It took a long time.

Especially since I was indulging in wine.

Then I painted the piece of wood yellow! Or maybe I painted the piece of wood yellow, and THEN cut out the stencil.

And then, using very amateur stenciling techniques, I put the tile on the piece of wood, and using a black sponge paint brush, I sort of mushed in the blue paint into the hexagon spaces. Obviously, it needs a tad touching up.

So, that's it so far. I finished the piece of wood. Still have to fix up the yellow spots. And buy some kind of hooks tomorrow to screw on. !! Can't wait to hang all the stuff on our floors on it!
