Soooo gang, I'm trying to make my product photos look more profesh. So I am putting, or attempting to put, all of the items on a solid white background (slash photoshop my way there). Do they look good? OR weird and sterile?
This is just my opinion, of course, but I don't really like the stark white background. It's too, well, stark looking. It seems to be the look a lot of people are doing now, but I think it looks like the jewelry is floating in this weird white world. Doesn't really look natural to me. Those are my thoughts :) (Love your jewelry BTW and hope to own something soon!)
Thanks DJ, I agree that it's a little weird and floaty--- I just keep seeing it everywhere so I thought I'd give it a try! I'll probably change over to the originals later, but for now I'll let it ride...
Hey! I am against the white background as DJ said, it does make it look sterile. Your jewelry is so unique it deserves a special setting and background. I always think of manufactured or machine made jewelry when i see white sharp backgrounds. And your work is so much more special and unique that that!
I like it! Makes the product seem bolder and punchy-er (not a real word, i know :) I also like that your shop shows some on the white background and some on you, adds a little diversity/personality.
